Gerber Cereals: A Review, A Giveaway, and a Sweepstakes!

If you are a parent, you know how important it is to provide your child with a balanced diet - making sure that they are in-taking all of the vitamins and minerals that are important in the growth of their bodies.  When babies begin to eat solid foods, it is really important that they are getting enough iron in their diet so that their growth and development is not stunted in anyway.  One way to ensure that your baby is getting enough iron in their diet is to provide them with an iron fortified cereal, such as Gerber Cereals.  With just 2 servings a day, your baby has been provided with 90% of the iron that they need for that day.

I was asked to do a review and giveaway on the Gerber baby cereals and since my baby (13 months now) is eating cereal as part of her diet, I agreed to partake in this review.  I was provided with 3 different types of cereals:

1. Rice cereal - We had already tried this cereal with our Princess, and she does not like the taste of it on its own.  I tried it too and it is very bland.  However, when I added some milk and juice to it - the juice gave it a nice flavor and Princess ate it without any problem.

2. Oatmeal with bananas - I expected this cereal to taste great with the addition of only milk, but I found that Princess did not enjoy it unless some juice was added.  So, juice was added and she ate it without a problem.

3. Oatmeal Banana Strawberry Flavor - I was given a package of this cereal as well, but I have not tried it yet.  I was waiting until Princess got a little older before introducing strawberries to her diet.  So, this cereal has been on hold for now.
