Go Green!

It is definitely the "in" thing to "Go Green" these days...but, that is a good thing! Hopefully, we are all more aware of ways to make our lives a little more healthier and are also learning to be a good steward of the earth that God has given to us.

So, today, I decided to walk/push the boys in the stroller to the place where I vote - I think that it was about a one mile walk one way. So, I got a great work out and I did not add more pollution to the air, and I brought my kids to vote with me...okay, the fact that we are down to one working car was not the only reason why I did this! :)

On another "Go Green" note...my sister, TCC, is hosting a giveaway on her blog that includes hand crocheted dishcloths and 16oz bottle of Dishwash Liquid Concentrate from Shaklee. We grew up on Shaklee products, which are all natural products, including cleaning products. I really like the Basic H2 Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate - I use the degreaser dilution the most - it is the best cleaner that I know of! One of the things that is cool about Shaklee's cleaners is that they are concentrated, so you have less packaging of the product that is entering the environment, and then the cleaner lasts such a long time because you have to dilute it before using it. Anyway, it is great stuff, and if you want to try the dish-washing liquid for free, click here and enter my sister's contest! If you are interested in other products, click here for my sister's website of Shaklee products (yes, she does sell the stuff, and no, I do not).

What did you do to celebrate earth day?

I got greeted at my bedroom doorway with green hugs from my two youngest as they sang "Happy Earth Day!" to me when I stumbled out of my room. Other than that, it was a normal day off for all of us - no school for Election day. :)

Does it count that I voted? Although we had to drive there because it was after 7:30 by the time we got out of the house and I wasn't sure we could walk there fast enough, so I guess it can't really count, so never mind. :)

I just wanted to let you know you were tagged for another Meme if you would like to play.

We are definately trying to do more for the environment these days. I know my Knight and I are saving up so our next new car can be a hybrid.
